VISITING VENICE

Bibione is located on the northern Adriatic coast, where, in addition to sun, beach and sea, one of the most beautiful cities of art in the world awaits you: Venice. There are several ways to get from Bibione to Venice: Train, bus or car.

The quickest way to reach the city is by car, with the drive taking just over an hour. However, car parking is limited in Venice (Piazzale Roma), so it is advisable to leave the car on the mainland, where there is a large number of parking spaces. From that point you can reach the island by train, tram, bus or cab.

There are no direct boat trips from Bibione to Venice, but a great alternative is the combination of bus + boat to get directly to St. Mark's Square.

What is there to see after arriving in Venice? Venice is the magnificent home of a rich and ancient history, peppered with a wealth of art, palaces and monuments. Good shoes and enough time are necessary to experience this city and all its beauties step by step!

Here are some tips on what you should definitely see in Venice:

First, the majestic St. Mark's Square with the Basilica and Doge's Palace; an incredible sight that takes your breath away. It is a Byzantine building dedicated to St. Mark the Evangelist. Wonderful golden mosaics cover the vault, the dome and the walls. Attached to the cathedral is the Doge's Palace. A fantastic Gothic palace that was the governmental and administrative center of the Republic and also a symbol of the power of the Maritime Republic of Venice. Not to mention the clock tower of San Marco and the tower of St. Mark's, almost 100 meters high.

Take time and visit also the three most famous islands Burano, Murano and Torcello. Murano is famous for its glass art, Burano for its small colorful houses and for its lace, while the main attractions of Torcello are the Byzantine Cathedral of S. Fosca and an ancient stone chair (Attila's throne).

A vacation in northern Italy near Venice also includes Venetian cuisine: delicious fish and pasta dishes, desserts and wines.
